Gender Neutral Nursery

Our designers had so much fun pulling together this gender neutral nursery!

Inspired by the favourite children’s book “Where the Wild Things Are” by Maurice Sendak, it includes all of the nursery essentials.

This whimsical wallpaper mural is the perfect Wild Things backdrop and the foundation for everything we layered into the room.

Rebel Walls

The number one necessity for a nursery is a crib! We chose a simple, modern design with a two-tone look. The white keeps it looking light and the darker stain allows the natural wood grain to show through.

Land of Nod

We added cozy bedding, including this cotton crib sheet. The throw pillows would make adorable additions once the child is old enough.

A comfy glider for mom and dad to cuddle and rock baby to sleep is a must. This one is slipcovered for easy laundering, another must with babies!

Crate and Barrel

Under the glider we layered a mixed weave rug in coordinating colours. We chose a 100% cotton rug so it will be soft for baby but still durable. This particular rug isn’t backed, so it can be used on carpet as is, or on wood floors with a rug pad. Exploring babies will find lots of variety on this rug!

This statement light adds interest and natural texture to the room in the form of a seagrass pendant.

RH Baby and Child

For comfort in the dark and middle of the night diaper changes we added a sweet, heart-shaped neon nightlight.

Black Rooster Decor

And of course, a “Where the Wild Things Are” inspired nursery wouldn’t be complete without some wild things. These Little Darlings animal prints are the cutest things around. Next to baby, of course.
