If you have ever made the drive from Calgary eastward on Highway 1 heading to Saskatchewan will have passed these fantastic signs. Can you call them vintage if they are still in use?
I always seem to get a pang of nostalgia; for a time when air travel was a reserved luxury, and overnight motel stays on the side of the highway a necessity for long prairie drives.
Here’s what I love… though these signs are showing their age, the bright neon shapes still light up the dark night on the TransCanada; a beacon to weary travellers. I mean hey, phones and TV!
