Calgary interior design community comes together for Inn From The Cold

When our Calgary interior design storage room was overflowing, it was time to take action.  Our ‘oopsies’ were haunting us.  Time for a garage sale!

Along with Alykhan Velji, another Calgary Interior Designer, we held a ‘Designer Garage Sale’ which was a fantastic success!

This was a great chance for us to clear out our storage rooms of leftovers, extras ‘oopses’ and ‘what were we thinking’-s. And for garage salers, the opportunity to get their hands on some designer only goods at remarkable prices.

After a few days of intensive prep and pricing, and excitement about the chance to raise some money for an amazing local charity ~ Inn From The Cold ~ we were loaded up and off to the sale site.

The day dawned with lovely bright sunshine and not a cloud in the sky. As per usual the early birds got the worms. So to speak. If a steal of a deal area rug and designer exclusive wallpaper count as worms.

The response was so positive that we are already talking about next year, and the chance to partner with more Calgary interior designers to raise funds to great causes near to our hearts. We love giving back!

Plans are already in the works to have more design firms on board, and perhaps a bit of a market to highlight local small suppliers and businesses.
